What if I told you that you can make a coatrack using lightbulbs, cement, and recycled wood? Would you believe me?
Well if you don’t, prepare yourself to be proven wrong. This fun and unique DIY project finds the perfect combination of the most unlikely of materials to make something unexpectedly cool. With just cement, lightbulbs, and old wood, you can make one of these quirky DIY coatracks.
Begin by removing the insides of the lightbulb with a small pair of pliers.
Next, fill the empty lightbulb with cement.
Once the cement has dried, break the glass of the lightbulb. This will leave you with a concrete bulb.
Take two pieces of old wood (in this case, old apple bin boards). Remove the nails and put them through a planer.
Finish the boards with a stain.
Drill holes for the screws of the concrete lightbulbs.
Take your concrete lightbulbs and screw them in place.
And check out your handiwork!
