Justin Biebers Despacito Breaks All-Time Streaming Records

As much as you might hate to admit it, Despacito is a fire song. There is no way you can help feeling yourself when that song comes on and well, the numbers prove it. The song has broken records with 4.6 billion plays in just 6 months.

Despacito just features Justin Bieber, but there is no doubt he brought a lot of the popularity to the song. The song is by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, but Biebers vocals are what draw people in.

The hit track has only been out for 6 months and has already managed to get billions of plays on a variety of streaming platforms. Just on Spotify, the song racked up a whopping 1.183 billion streams. The official music video has also become the fastest clip to ever go way beyond two billion views.

Despacito has broken every record out there thanks to the creativity of Luis Fonsi and the vocals of Bieber. Sir Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group said, “Luis Fonsi already had the undisputed, biggest song of the year and now he’s setting even bigger records. Streaming has opened up the possibility of a song with a different beat, from a different culture and in a different language to become a juggernaut of success around the world.”
