Game Of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin Speaks to a Younger Crowd Through Hip Hop

Despite George R. Martin, the Game Of Thrones author, is not a big social media guy, he has over 800,000 followers! He has posted less than 700 tweets during his time on Twitter. He didn’t post anything too interesting until recently when he decided to appeal to a younger crowd and literally turned to hip hop.

He posted a picture that captures him, a super white guy, trying to look like a rapper, with a meme’d tagline ‘Wazzzzup’. In the photo, he has a sideways hat, and his hands arranged in an approximation of what white people think a gang sign might look like.

The best part of the picture is the caption under it: “So, my publishers say I have to start trying to appeal to a younger audience…” We don’t know if that’s real or not, but one thing is sure: The picture is so out of character that is hilarious!
