Drake Is One Of Many Artists To Get A Good Laugh At Jay-Z’s ‘Money To Your Ear’ Line

There is no doubt that Jay Z has built an empire and is one of the greatest of all time. His lyrics are usually spectacular and he has influenced many other rap artists for many years. Recently, Jay Z released a new album 4:44 that got some pretty mixed reviews. Some loved it and others were just not satisfied at all.

Jay Z says the line “Ya’ll on the ‘gram holdin’ money to your ear / There’s a disconnect, we don’t call that money over here,” in his song The Story of O.J. and artists, including his so called friends, clapped back at that one. Drake was the most recent star and friend to respond to Jay Z’s lyrics. In a video he posted, Drake says “What they say? Don’t put money to your ear? Oh I didn’t hear that,” and he goes on to put stacks of money up to both ears.

Along with Drake, Future and Boosie BadAzz were other rappers who seemed to take offense to Jay’s lyrics. In a YouTube video posted by Boosie, he claimed that he will continue to raise stacks to his ear. “If you’re trying to get Jay-Z money, you shouldn’t put stacks to your eat. Jay-Z don’t tell me what to do. I don’t know about ya but he doesn’t tell me what to do,” Boosie went on to say. He admitted he has plenty of love for Jay-Z, but doesn’t need to listen to him when he says not to do something, like in this case, hold stacks of cash to your ears.

Jay might have struck a nerve with some other rappers, but his album is still pretty fire. Keep doing you Jay, and all the rappers who want to keep holding stacks to their ears, carry on.
