Chris Evans is most notably recognized as the face of Captain America. He certainly loves playing a hero as according to Deadline, he just recently accepted the main role for the film, Red Sea Diving Resort, in which he will play an Israeli spy that rescues Ethiopian Jews from Sudan through the Israeli spy agency, Mossad, in the early 80s.
This role is definitely a change for Evans as he usually plays characters that have some sort of power or aspect that’s beyond human capability. Captain America is a perfect example of this as well as his character in the Fantastic Four films.
He mentioned in an interview with Esquire that he plans on ceasing to play his Avengers character, as he is interested in roles that are more human.
Red Sea Diving Resort should begin shooting this summer, though there is no information on a release date just yet. Apparently, Haley Bennett is set to play the lead female role in the film, according to Variety, though this information has not been 100% confirmed as of yet. We also do not know much about who her character will be. All we know is that we’re excited to see it!
