Gameday has come around once again. And whether the term “game day” implies a day full of watching football, basketball, soccer, or baseball with your best pals, the term “game day” always implies food. Yes, chips and salsa and pizza and crackers are all game day favorites.
But, what if you want to take a little extra step in order to up your game day snacking just a bit more than usual? Maybe it is the aspect of baking or the thought of burning something that scares you that has prevented you from delving into the world of making your own game day snacks in the past.
Have no fear, however, as these two snack recipes are essentially foolproof and will be favorites among all of your guests for sure!
Hawaiian roll grilled cheeses. All you need for this recipe is a set of Hawaiian buns and a stack of cheddar cheese. Cut each bun in half, put a piece of cheese in the middle, spray a bit of oil in the pan, and grill both sides of the bun evenly. This will create the perfect mini grilled cheeses.
Popcorn trail mix. This one is even easier. Buy a bag of your favorite kettle corn or salted popcorn. Buy a bag of peanuts, chocolate chips, peanut chips, almonds, and any dried fruit of your choosing. All you have to do is open each bag into one large bowl, mix them all together, and there you have a perfect sweet treat.
