Donald Glover’s new series explores the dark side of pop music fandoms, drawing inspiration from Beyoncé’s “Bey Hive”. It follows a young woman Dre, whose obsession with her favorite pop superstar takes her to dark and unexpected places.

Poker Face saw its heroine solve crimes all around America, and one of them involved a washed-up metal band Doxxxology. The episode Rest in Metal shows members of Doxxxology going the extra mile to claim the credit for a song that isn’t theirs.
