It’s been a little over six months since Stranger Things became the unexpected sci-fi hit of the summer. And with another half a year until the second season debuts in July, details have been scarce so far. What we do know is that Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and newcomer Linnea Berthelsen have been added to the already beloved crew in Hawkins, Indiana.
Other than that, we don’t know what any of these new or old faces will be doing in the next nine episodes. Thankfully, actor David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper, let slip a few details during a panel at Fan2Sea Comic Con:
“We have Sean Astin… he’s Winona’s new boyfriend – much to the chagrin to the Chief of Police,” Harbour said. He also explained the timeline a little bit. “It’s a year later in the story, so there are several things that happened last year – like Will has come back – there are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don’t know what happened,” he said. “So there’s a lot of fall out with who knows what.”
