Rob and Big Star Christopher Boykin Dies at Age 45

Rob & Big star playing famous skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek’s, bodyguard, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin has passed away at age 45.

After serving in the U.S Navy, Boykin rose to fame in the early 2000’s with MTV’s series, Rob & Big, a reality comedy series about the well-known skateboarder, Rob, and his big protective bodyguard, Big, who was also his best friend. The duo put themselves in crazy hilarious situations like filming rap videos, entering an eating contest and even buying a mini horse. They have also done some pretty nice charitable things such as giving clothes away to the homeless in need and rewarding a car to a lucky skater.

Through the success of Rob & Big, Boykin launched clothing lines and even became featured in video games, Skate and Skate 2. Unfortunately, the show stopped airing, however, their friendship remained the same. Boykin has guest starred in Dyrdek’s new MTV show, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy and has made several appearances on Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness, Guy Code and MTV Snack Off.

The cause of his death has not yet been revealed. Boykin has a nine-year old daughter as well. We hope the family is doing well with the news.
