Festivals are one of the best things about summer and something that loads of people look forward to each year. Spending time outside with friends listening to music is many people’s idea of the best way to spend time. However, just because it’s summer doesn’t mean the weather is always perfect, and rain at a festival can make the experience more of a struggle. In order to still enjoy yourself and make the most of it, here are some tips for dealing with a rainy festival.
Bring Plenty of Spare Underwear
When it’s pouring rain and you are outside all day, it’s often impossible to keep dry. The worst feeling is when the water reaches all the way to your underwear, so bringing plenty of spares will mean you can change into dry ones when necessary.
Take Waterproof Trousers
Raincoats are great, but can be futile in heavy rain without anything to protect your legs as well. Waterproof trousers may not be stylish but they will help keep your whole body dry. They can also help to keep water out of shoes, which is a lifesaver in a heavy downpour.
Don’t Overfill Your Tent
Tents should be able to remain waterproof even in heavy rain. However, even with the highest quality tent, issues can arise when objects are touching the walls, leading to them letting water through. You can try to avoid this by ensuring you have enough space in the tent, so don’t bring unnecessary items.
