Richard Hammond escaped death by mere seconds when he crashed an electric super car while filming in Switzerland. The vehicle burst into flames as he was shooting for his new TV series, “The Grand Tour”. Luckily, he was able to get out of the car before this occurred. No one else was involved in the accident.
“The Grand Tour” company stated that although Richard was involved in this accident, he did not suffer any serious injuries released a statement. “Richard was conscious and talking, and climbed out of the car himself before the vehicle burst into flames”. This was not the first car accident that Richard was involved with that was deadly. In 2006, he was in an accident and suffered brain injuries.
“The Grand Tour” is a show that will be available on Amazon Prime and will be a continuation of the original show, “Top Gun”. One of the other cast members of “The Grand Tour”, Jeremy Clarkson, also worked on “Top Gear”. He wrote in a tweet that the accident was the “most frightening” thing he had ever seen.
