There are just some people who possess extraordinary business and leadership skills. Elon Musk, the creator of PayPal, Tesla, and SpaceX is one of those very people.
Born in South Africa, Elon Musk became a multimillionaire businessman by his early 20s. In 2002, he developed SpaceX which earned him much notoriety later on in May 2012 when SPaceX propelled a rocket that was the first business vehicle to the International Space Station.
So, what exactly is the life of such a successful, rich person like? Well, Musk was born to a South African father and a Canadian mother in Pretoria, South Africa in June 1971. Kimbal has two siblings with whom he grew up with. Around the age of 10, Musk started to develop an interest in PCs and distracted himself from his parent’s separation by teaching himself how to program.
Musk made his first programing deal with a diversion he made called Blastar-when he was only 12 years old. At the age of 17, he moved to Canada to attend Queen’s University and eventually ended up at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 in order to obtain his degrees in Physics and Economics.
Directly after graduating, Musk enrolled in Stanford University in order to pursue a Ph.D. in Energy Physics. However, two days into his experience, he dropped out in order to pursue a more entrepreneurial route and founded his first organization, ZIp2.
Extremely successful, a division of Compaq Computer Corporation purchased Zip2 for $34 million as investment opportunities and for over $300 million in trade. In 199, Musk also helped to establish X.com, a money related installments organization.
The next year, X.com prompted PayPal and in 2002, PayPal was procured by eBay for about $1.5 Billion in stock.
Musk continued with his entrepreneurial successes with his development of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, two of his biggest endeavors.
In 2010, Tesla Motors raised $226 million in stock. Along with all of these developments, Musk has also been involved in a variety of other endeavours. For example, Musk was added to President Trump’s Strategy and Policy Forum and joined Trump’s Manufacturing Jobs Initiative in January 2017.
He continues to impress the world with his advances with Tesla, SpaceX and other projects like Solar City – a project which focuses on developing solar technology to improve functionality and application around the world – and the Boring Company – an infrastructure company with the goal of improving transportation through super-fast, underground tunnels. Musk no doubt has a grand vision for the future, and he is making it happen.
