Anson Mount will have the honor of playing a Marvel superhero in the new TV series Inhumans, which is set to release this September in IMAX before heading to air on ABC. This series will certainly be different than what Marvel has given us in the past, as the main Anson’s character, Black Bolt, will not be speaking the entire movie. The reason behind his silence is due to the fact that his voice is extremely powerful and has a deadly affect. Even a slight whisper can create a force that destroys all around him. As a result, Black Bolt must speak telepathically with his wife, Medusa, who speaks on his behalf. Apparently, Marvel originally had Vin Diesel in mind for the role of Black Bolt. However, showrunner Scott Buck showed much confidence in Anson in a recent press release, stating that he is “…very excited to have Anson on board to bring [Black Bolt] to life”. Anson appears to be ecstatic about the challenge of acting without speaking in this movie, which is what motivated the creators to choose him. Game of Thrones actor, Iwan Rheon, will play his rival in the movie.
