On Tuesday night, Adidas officially announced that they will be the official partner of USA Volleyball. The deal will begin in the 2017 season and will include the USA Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball Teams, the USA Men’s and Women’s Junior National Volleyball Teams, the USA Boys’ and Girls’ Youth National Volleyball Teams, USA Beach Volleyball programs, and the Paralympic Programs.
Adidas has also announced that Lauren Carlini, former University of Wisconsin volleyball player, will be named the new face of Adidas volleyball.
All of the USA volleyball teams will now be sporting Adidas from their heads to their toes. The USA Volleyball Women’s teams will be wearing the new Adidas Climalite miTeam uniform collection and CRAZYFLIGHT X featuring BOOST at multiple events throughout the year.
Adidas is a worldwide company that develops athletic and comfortable footwear, apparel, and accessories. In the past, Adidas has made huge marketing deals with the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS and MLL. The company also has many deals with individual players, such as Kristaps Porzingis, Damian Lillard, Lionel Messi, Derrick Rose, James Harden and Jeremy Lin.
This is a huge deal for both USA Volleyball and Adidas. James Davis, the CEO of USA Volleyball, stated, “I am convinced that this relationship will elevate both of our organizations in the United States and around the globe.”
