Billie Eilish knocks us off our feet every time she drops a new album, and she did it once again with her latest record. Hit Me Hard and Soft lives up to its name, giving us a perfect mix between edgy bangers and emotional ballads, and here are five songs we can’t get enough of.
“Lunch”
The album’s lead single is a strong candidate for the next song of the summer, and it gives us major “Bad Guy” vibes. It’s one of Eilish’s most personal singles to date and it sees her opening up about her attraction to women.
“Chihiro”
Eilish has always been a huge fan of Studio Ghibli films, and this song named after the Spirited Away heroine Chihiro has what it takes to become the album’s next big hit.
“L’Amour de Ma Vie”
Eilish gave us many experimental songs that toy with different genres on Hit Me Hard and Soft, including “L’Amour de Ma Vie”, and she even decided to drop its extended version.
“Birds of a Feather”
Featured in a recent Heartstopper teaser, “Birds of a Feather” is one of the album’s most emotional tracks and it talks about love that never dies.
“Blue”
Many songs on Hit Me Hard and Soft explore the same themes and even feature the same phrases, and its final track “Blue” ties them all together at the very end.
