The Golden Globes kicked off the awards season on Tuesday night and they set the stage for many more ceremonies to come. We were introduced to many exciting red carpet trends at the Globes this year and here are three that we’ll be seeing everywhere in the months to come.
Let it Shine
Many of the stars attending this year’s Golden Globes couldn’t resist wearing dazzling golden gowns, including Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Hudson. Sparkly gowns in general were pretty popular at this year’s ceremony, and Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett, Abby Elliott, and Jennifer Coolidge also embraced this trend.
Blue or Purple?
Dramatic gowns in different shades of blue and purple stole the show at this year’s ceremony. Michelle Yeoh, Ayo Edebiri, Viola Davis, and Laverne Cox attended the show in blue gowns, while Sheryl Lee Ralph, Niecy Nash, and Kaley Cuoco opted for purple ones.
Barbiecore is Here to Stay
If you think that the barbiecore trend is going away in 2023—think again. Barbie star Margot Robbie embraced this trend at the Golden Globes and she was in pretty good company. Molly Sims, Julia Garner, Brit Lower, and Elizabeth Debicki also hit the red carpet in stunning pink dresses.
